Teaser Tuesday allows everyone to share a few lines of their current read to entice people to pick up the book.
Rules are simple:
Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers
My teaser this week comes from page 53 of Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
"Florentino Ariza, on the other hand, had not stopped thinking of her for a single moment since Fermina Daza had rejected him out of hand after a long and troubled love affair fifty-one years, nine months, and four days ago. He did not have to keep a running tally, drawing a line for each day on the walls of a cell, because not a day had passed that something did not happen to remind him of her."
I'll confess that my quote did not exactly come from a random page but I thought this quote summed up the book quite well. Sorry, I'm a cheater.
