Yesterday was Mother's Day and my birthday is on Sunday so my hubby got me one big present to cover both days and I gave it to me today. (Ok, actually he was waiting till my birthday but let it slip yesterday and I was too excited to wait till Sunday) I am happy to announce that I am now the proud owner of a brand new Nook!
Isn't she pretty! I'll admit, I wasn't too keen on the idea of e-readers for a long time. I like the feel of a real book and having them all lined up, pretty and on display on my bookshelves. But, that siren call of being able to carry around hundreds of books with me everywhere I go became too much to resist. Thankfully my husband was paying attention and caught all of my not very subtle hints. I thought about going Kindle but I live within walking distance of a B&N and the convenience of being able to walk in there and get help if I need it swayed my decision over to the Nook.
I've been playing with it all night and I'm loving it so far. Plus, the kids are super jealous and have been begging me to download their favorite books so they can use it. Ha! Yeah, right. Mom's not sharing this one.

yeah that guy in the kite runner was a total wuss. he should have been way nicer to his friend.
Dexter and Nathan Price made my list too! I also hated Holden and thought he was whiney and bratty.
New follower!
I didn't think to include Andy from Speak on my list, but he's a great pick, as is Thenardier. Great choices all around. :)
I've seen Dexter on a few lists. I found him to be a compelling jerk. Not a disgusting jerk like some of the others.
Check out my list here.
