Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event hosted by
Reading Between the Pages. The rules are simple:
- A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
- Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
- Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
- It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
This will give us a wonderful opportunity to explore and understand different writing styles and descriptive approaches adopted by authors.
This week’s theme is – VEHICLE
My snippet this week comes from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
"The coach is a mile off by this time; I am alone. At this moment I discover that I forgot to take my parcel out of the pocket of the coach, where I had placed it for safety; there it remains, there it must remain; and now, I am absolutely destitute."
I hope a coach counts as a vehicle. It's the closest you can find in a Bronte novel. Please leave a link so I can return your visit.

A coach is definitely a vehicle. Is this your first reading of Jane? Are you enjoying it. It is one classic that people seem to have a very strong opinion towards.
