Friday Blog Hop: Author Stalking

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy-For-Books and is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books! It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!

This week's question is:
"If you find a book you love, do you hunt down other books by the same author?"

Unless it's a series, I don't really specifically hunt them down after one book but I am way more likely to pick up other titles of theirs when I'm at the bookstore. If it gets to the point where I've read and enjoyed quite a few titles from the same author, then I may begin hunting down additional titles.

Thanks for hopping by this weekend and Happy Easter for those of you who celebrate it!

Happy Easter!
I'm a bit different - once I've read a book I like, I'll do a lot of research on the author's other books and probably buy them!

Hi
Just hopping by and following through. I tend to get a bit obsessed when I find an author I like

Hopping and following through, I'm another one that can't help but search through an authors back catalogue if I Love one of their books, I've discovered quite a few gems that way.

I am a new follower! :D

I used to be the same way, but since I've been going out of my way to make time to read this year, I've made more of an effort to read other books by authors who've written a book I really love.

I adore your header (and yes, obviously, this is my first visit to your blog). But I agree - I'm much more likely to search out the books by the same author if the book I've just read is part of a series.

I can be the same way and only read through the series. I think that I'm more likely to keep an eye out for the author's other books if I enjoyed the series. It depends! Thanks for stopping by The Prairie Library!

If the author just really left me feeling dejected that the recent book ended, I will go looking straight-a-way for another book written by that author.

Great answer.
I once spent an entire day going from bookstore to bookstore searching for the third book in Nora Roberts' Circle Trilogy after reading the first two in a day and a half. In the end I bought it on the internet and had to wait two weeks to get it. I was chomping at the bit.
