Book Blogger Hop 10/29

Book Blogger Hop

In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!  So, grab the logo over at Crazy-For-Books, post about the Hop on your blog, and start HOPPING through the list of blogs that are posted there.

There question this week is:

"What is the one bookish thing you would love to have, no matter the cost?"

Oh the possibilities! If I could have anything I would want a massive 'Beauty and the Beast' type library filled with all manner of different types of books. I would also need it to have a bunch of different comfortable arm chairs and sofa to lounge about on. On a smaller scale, I'd like to have a Kindle or something like it. I prefer the feel and smell of real books but the more I dwell on it the more I think an e-reader would be damn convenient.

Thanks for hopping by and please leave a link so I can return your hop.

I haven't got an e-reader either, Rachel. For a long time I really didn't think I wanted one, but like you, I think it would be handy sometimes. But I do like real books a lot!!

I think I ultimately decided the same as you!

I had to click on your Blog on the list, because I am reading my first classic in a long long time... and I've never read it before. Wuthering Heights. I'll start following you though, because I think I'd like to work more classics into my reading list!

I already am a fan of your blog, but I'm saying hi again! I thought I wouldn't want an ereader, but the more I think about it, if I traveled a lot by train or plane I think it would be invaluable. Love the site!

I prefer real books too but I'm starting to see the merits of an e-reader, at least when I'm planning on travelling. Love the idea of reading the 1001 before you die list :)

Only printed publications for me, please, lol.

I followed your link in a Book Blogs forum post; delighted to see you're in the Book Blogger Hop. Me too!

I tried borrowing my friend's e-reader, but for me, nothing beats flipping the pages, feeling the rough or smooth edges, and smelling that print smell of a book, old or new. This is a really great idea! I used to read all the time as a child, but now I'm focusing on school so much, I have no time to read! I'm the kind of person that needs a goal, and this is a GREAT way to maintain that goal! I think I might use this list for myself and pick some books up while I'm out next time. I'm really glad I stumbled across this! :) Good luck reading all of those!
