Kesey has some other works (off the list) that are also very good....
good review. I agree with you about Ratched, I viewed her as a victim who was trapped just as much as the patient.Pat Tilletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17699973774273291205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589686567048370869.post-47131376263486012982010-08-30T18:33:33.366-06:002010-08-30T18:33:33.366-06:00We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. It reminds me a bit of listening to my 13 year old niece complain about what an awful, unfeeling, un-understanding man her dad is. Yet, someone removed from the situation I can see that he's just trying to keep her out of trouble.

Also, like youRachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08151045469060713960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589686567048370869.post-30896742088090817482010-08-30T14:42:20.706-06:002010-08-30T14:42:20.706-06:00I absolutely loved this book; I probably prefer it...I absolutely loved this book; I probably prefer it to The Bell Jar, not that they can be compared. Both have been listed on the ALA's banned books list, which is a huge plus for me. :)

I have to disagree with you on this:
I did feel a little bad for Nurse Ratched. I know she's supposed to be a massive dictator but I saw her a woman just trying to do her job. SheRoof Beam Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06792884580084363046noreply@blogger.com
