It picked it up several times after the whole movie thing. But listening I just wasn't that impressed. Kinda felt like the story never got very in depth. After reading your thoughts, maybe I'll actually read the book sometime and see if I like it better.Knoxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02208901461126054451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589686567048370869.post-26007217422608108802010-07-07T18:09:17.079-06:002010-07-07T18:09:17.079-06:00So glad that so many others enjoyed it as well. I've had some issues with comments as well. The dashboard says I have some to be moderated but when I click it there are none. Now with the typing lag while posting I'm reading to scream. Hope they fix itRachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08151045469060713960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589686567048370869.post-47506753141653854682010-07-07T18:03:43.611-06:002010-07-07T18:03:43.611-06:00This is a great great book isn't it?! I really loved the story, and it made me think so much about the reality of living in those times. Its that old issue isn't - good people doing bad things and how do you reconcile it?Rebecca Chapmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14144719070318640603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589686567048370869.post-40226062402649592992010-07-07T16:03:31.880-06:002010-07-07T16:03:31.880-06:00I loved this book! In fact it's always the example I use when people accuse Oprah books of being lightweight ("it's translated from the German..." is usually all I have to say to win that argument!) I was surprised to read a really different angle on WWII when you think everything's already written about Carin Siegfriedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07278383926500248048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589686567048370869.post-30993002017427049142010-07-07T15:52:59.449-06:002010-07-07T15:52:59.449-06:00Ok two things. Two, yesterday my comments on blogger weren't showing up but after I clicked on my comments they were there, if that makes sense. Basically it said "0" comments but really there were like 5. I think blogger has been being odd lately. You aren't the only one.Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10780185535345559390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5589686567048370869.post-60075992154052526082010-07-07T14:55:37.327-06:002010-07-07T14:55:37.327-06:00I read this a couple of years ago on someone's...I read this a couple of years ago on someone's recommendation - it's just not the type of book I would ever normally pick up. But I agree with you - it draws you in. It's disturbing and involving. Definitely recommended! And I love short books.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07532657035761216045noreply@blogger.com
